SpEd - Book (The Time Is Now)

The Time Is Now is a compilation of four highly visual workbooks that concentrate on the numeral time (e.g., 1:30, 2:15, etc.), rather than phrases such as “half-past” and “quarter past,” because the numeral system is most often used in print, on digital clocks, and on sign language.

The activities in these books are designed for students to work at their own pace. They are to work at their own rate of learning. The teacher is encouraged to observe each child and repeat exercises where necessary. They progress from the simplest to the most complex, with constant review of previous lessons. Although some of the stories may be too difficult for the children, they are included to help give more understanding of time. The teacher is encouraged to go over the stories with the pupils.

Book 3: 40 minutes, 50 minutes, 25 minutes, and a review of Books 1 and 2
